I was visiting a KH in Boston. My dad was trying to date a sister there. I was 15 with no Mom and got my period. I was in the bathroom and had to ask every sister that walked in if she had a pad... no one did. One sister handed me a tampond but I never used one and didn't know how. I spent the entire meeding on the toilet until a sister handed me a pad. When I grew up I always made sure there was a few emergency pads at every KH I went to.

Non harmful addictions, is there such a thing?

what are you in love with so to speak, although it is not felt to be a harmful addiction?.

since the future and the past do not exist except as concepts in the now, than how can knowing what is to come even possible?.

i'd say my worst is sometimes i don't like to deal with important things and don't unless necessary.. my best quality (and there are so many that this may be difficult.

Starting Jan 1st 2012 we will no longer focus on gathering in new sheep. Our focus will be on keeping the flock strong, united and ready for the great day of Armegedon. We know Jehovah's day is near and we need to gear up and prepare for the Great Tribulation. The time is now and we have little time to help others see the truth and save them from sure death....

Yoga......JW view

i went to a yoga class last sunday and loved it!!

i am going again tonight with my hubby.

I love yoga! I live too far from any classes but the 1st DVD I bought I was so nervous. I was looking behind my shoulder and when I did yoga at home I closed the shades. It took a while to get JW paranoia out of me. Now I don't care who knows my love for yoga! And no demons hurt me

What 'hooked' you... and what made you leave?

i wasn't born in.

i got hooked in as a teenager.

was going through a tough time, wondered why we exist, why god wasn't doing anything to solve man's problems, if there was a true religion and, hey-presto, a jw classmate showed up with book that not only asked the questions i was asking but answered them too!.

born in... I jsut thought there was nothing else ou there. They may not be perfect but somehow I was convinced they were god's chosen people.

What made me leave? Oh lots of things it was a process. 1st lack of love - 2nd the control elders think they had over me - 3rd reading Raymond Franz's books
